…where the land has been defaced, where all poetry has disappeared from the countryside, the imagination is extinguished, the mind becomes impoverished, and routine and servility seize the soul, inclining it toward torpor and death.

However you came to be here, I’d like to welcome you to Lost in Landscapes, a little corner of the vast World Wide Web dedicated to landscape photography.

Years ago, I started taking my camera with me on my walks and excursions. This forced me to slow down, much to the chagrin of my fellow walkers. After a while, I ended up going on excursions on my own, which is quite common in nature photography.

Little by little, I began to look at the landscape rather than simply see it. And the infinite nuances and states of the landscape began to reveal themselves at different times of day and throughout the seasons. To capture all those nuances, I had to start improving my photographic technique and my ability to delve deeper into the perception of the landscape’s infinite details.

This corner is therefore like a logbook of that journey I set out on some time ago, a time during which both I and the landscape have changed. Sadly, the landscape has been deteriorating to unimaginable extremes, and the inhabitants of those landscapes are suffering the consequences.

I hope you find something here that might be of interest to you.
