Encounters

I had long wanted to visit a group of old friends who live on a hill, 400 metres above sea level.

One morning, before the end of the year, I decided to take the road to the top of the hill.

The torrents were coming down with a lot of water due to the heavy rains of the last few weeks. And, despite it being the last days of December, it was not cold.

When I reached the top, there were the trees. An extremely social and friendly group of beings who live austerely. Their only threat is our dogmatic belief that unlimited growth is the solution to our problems.
