According to the news these summer days, forests are burning in many parts of our planet, whilst in others bombs are falling, scorching forests, cities, crops and everything in the path of the explosions.

We first appeared as a species on this planet, Earth, thousands of years ago. It was a world full of life, light, air and water.

Thousands of years is long enough to have turned that primeval world into a paradise. Yet every day we provide more and more evidence of our inability to achieve this.

I have tried to imagine how a survivor of the age in which we live would explain to the young people of the future what a forest was like and how it worked. A difficult task.

Érase una vez…el bosque

Según las noticias de estos días de verano, en muchas partes de nuestro planeta arden los bosques y en otras caen bombas que abrasan bosques, ciudades, cultivos y todo lo que se encuentra bajo los efectos de las explosiones.

Aparecimos como especie hace miles de años en este planeta Tierra. Era un mundo lleno de vida, de luz, de aire y de agua.

Miles de años es tiempo suficiente para haber convertido ese mundo primigenio en un paraíso. Pero cada día damos más y más pruebas de nuestra incapacidad para esta tarea.

He intentado imaginar como explicaría un superviviente de esta época en que vivimos a los jóvenes del futuro, qué y cómo era un bosque. Dificil tarea.
